Two head armatures in the early stages - Sid's Toys

Sid's Toys takes a deep dive into some of the processes used in making puppets for stop motion animation. The class focuses on character development and narrative as students work towards making 2 characters that will engage in a short dialogue. The class combines low and hi tech methods to achieve these goals including working with silicone and urethane resins, mold making, 3D printing, laser cutting, industry standard armatures and self made wire armatures. Technical goals in the course look to build a vocabulary that will enable a hacker-culture of new innovation in this growing field.
